April 29 this year The ceremonial unveiling of the last mural created as part of the "CONCORDIA" project took place. Identity, heritage, dialogue, integration of Przemyśl" implemented as part of the "Together We Change Przemyśl" project co-financed by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism for 2012-2021.
Mural on the facade of a residential block at Rzeczna 10 Street depicts three dancing women, residents of the former Przemyśl Fortress, of Polish, Ukrainian and Hungarian nationality. The theme of the mural refers to the multiculturalism of the city of Przemyśl, which during the partitions, during the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, combined the fates of people of many nations and many religions.
Poles, Jews, Hungarians, Ukrainians and many other nationalities lived next to each other during the construction of the Przemyśl Fortress and during the fights for the Przemyśl fortress, creating the community of Przemyśl. Through murals that were created in various parts of our city, we want to remind the residents of Przemyśl about the history and people who lived in our city over a hundred years ago.
The ceremonial unveiling of the mural was attended by the artist, muralist Eliasz Dyrow, Witold Dziedzic, Deputy President of the Management Board of the Przemyśl Housing Cooperative, and Mirosław Majkowski, Chairman of the Management Board of the Association of Fortress Communes of the Przemyśl Fortress.
The mural on the block at 10 Rzeczna Street was created as part of the project called “CONCORDIA. Identity, heritage, dialogue, integration of Przemyśl" implemented as part of the "Together We Change Przemyśl" project and co-financed by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism for 2012-2021, one of the elements of which is the creation of the "Przemyśl Fortress Mural Trail".
